Boris Berian New Balance
In His Words
It’s very hard describing all the emotions I had after the race and becoming an Olympian. It’s the goal of every athlete. Out of everything, I think the top two feelings were relief and disbelief.
Relief because the amount of work I put in had payed off. Exhausting workouts, good and bad. Disbelief because of a lingering injury I got in the middle of the indoor season that just didn’t seem to want to heal. The tear in my achilles only got worse as the season progressed, but being the stubborn athlete I am, it wasn’t going to stop me.
A lot has changed since then. I have joined a new group and have a new coach. My goals will always be the same though. To be the best.
I’m always hungry for more and I can’t wait to step back on the track and race again.
